when Firefox 4 came out, I was very reluctant to upgrade because that would mean losing some of my favorite addons. And now Firefox 5 is out and it seems I'm still gonna stay put.

I didn't plan on watching the featured movie last, but since it turned out this way, it somewhat became an even more meaningful and satisfying finish.

Departures (おくりびと)

I definitely wanted to see this movie again, not just because of the obvious lol moments but also because I wanted to hear the music inside the cinema. It was a really nice experience.

One Million Yen Girl (百万円と苦虫女)

Big fan of Aoi Yu, so even if I've seen this movie already, I definitely wouldn't miss this chance of seeing it on the big screen. (btw to all those people in the cinema who kept on saying she's skinny, fuck you all! She's still pretty and a talented actress!) This movie is kind of an inspiration to me, so it was nice to see it again. On another note, I remember my surprise when I saw Moriyama Mirai on this movie too. That was like the time when I just finished Moteki.

Climber's High (クライマーズ・ハイ)

Sakai Masato is in this movie too, and he is sexy.

a fascinating movie about correlating newspaper journalism and mountain climbing. Features the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history, it was interesting enough.

Emi: I don't believe in "everybody". I'm ok as long as I'm with the people who are really important to me.

Power of friendship movie, but has good points like Ishibashi Anna, (looks like Junjun) Yoshitaka Yuriko (looks like BoA) and its music.

Feel the Wind (風が強く吹いている)

A cheap bro-mance movie about cross country running. And just like The Battery on last year's festival, I just enjoyed Kento Hayashi's gay lines with his new love partner. :V

Yunagi City, Sakura Country (夕凪の街　桜の国)

Tragic. The feeling I had was somewhat like when I watched United 93.

Second movie with Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer, Zatoichi) as one of the main characters lol. Mind fuck, as expected from something based from Dazai Osamu's work. (the quote on the blog header is from him)

watched the only animated film on this year's lineup today.

Summer Days With Coo (河童のクゥと夏休み)

the animation is nothing special, in fact it looked stiff at times, and the backgrounds didn't look good with the animation. But it has its charm, the fun moments make up for its lack of detail. Best moments were definitely when Coo (the kappa) fucks around with the family, especially with Hitomi. Seriously what's with this evil cute fun little girl characters lately.

I managed to watch 2 movies out of 3 on the first day of regular viewing of Eiga Sai. There were tons of people but I was ready for it. Too bad though, when I got out after the first movie and lined up for to next one, the line was too long already that the I only managed to get tickets for the 3rd movie. Oh well.. can't be helped I guess.

So a puny-review (because I'm so tired) of the movies I watched:

The Chef Of South Polar (南極料理人)

very entertaining, such memorable characters, highly recommended. Lol'ed a lot of times on this one, I'll probably download it some time and watch it again. The main character's daughter is the shit.

The Summit: A Chronicle of Stones (剱岳点の記)

slow bro-mance movie but rewarding, especially the twist at the end.

One thing I can't help is thinking too much. And since one ruling side of me has decided to go on with this, here I am.

not sure if I'll keep this up, but think of this place as just a loooooonger version of plurk and would just be a dump of my reviews and thoughts.
